Ride for Precious Lives 2011

Precious_Lives_2011240 miles, 100 riders, 3 days, 1 cause..

Following on from the huge success of our Technical Director Rob Judge completing the London Marathon, Managing Director Martin Purchase and Safety Products Manager Adam Baker will be taking part in the Ride for Precious Lives 2011. The event takes place from 17th-19th June and will see 100 intrepid cyclists take to the roads over 3 days on a 240 mile sponsored ride. The aim of the ride will be to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West and connects up the two existing hospices with the site of the proposed third hospice just outside of St Austell.

Children’s Hospice South West became Phoenix Surveying Equipment’s official sponsored charity in 2010 and we are continuing to support them throughout 2011.

The hospice offers care to life-limited children and their families from across the South West and are the only organisation in this area to provide such care. Some families may use the hospice for many years, from the time the child is first diagnosed as having an incurable condition which will mean they will die in childhood.

In order to continue their vital work CHSW needs your support. Every penny – and every smile – you help them to raise makes a big difference to the children Ride2011and families who need their services.

Martin and Adam are aiming to raise over £1,000.00 with all funds raised going directly to Children’s Hospice South West. If you would like to donate and show your support for this worthy cause, please click here .
